Kia ora and welcomeThe Centre for Academic Development (CAD) is a central service unit dedicated to helping staff and students at The University of Auckland succeed in their academic work and careers. CAD's divisions collaborate to support the University's institutional goals of excellence and innovation in teaching, learning and research:
- The Academic Practice Group provides workshops, courses and consultations for academic staff in the areas of teaching, supervision and research development.
- The Student Learning Centre helps students develop effective academic learning and performance skills.
- The English Language Self-Access Centre (ELSAC) offers a supportive environment for independent English language learning.
- The eLearning Group promotes innovations in technology-supported teaching and learning.
- The Photography and Television Group supplies professional photographic and television production services in support of teaching, research and public relations.
- The IT Literacy Programme provides valuable training in popular software applications for staff and postgraduate students.
