The Centre for Academic Development

The Centre for Academic Development (CAD) is a central service unit dedicated to helping staff and students at The University of Auckland succeed in their academic careers.

Academic practice Workshops, courses and consultations for academic staff in the areas of teaching, supervision and research.	Student Learning (Tā te Ākonga) Helping students develop effective academic learning and performance skills.
English Language Enrichment ELE offers supported independent English language learning.	Elearning Promoting innovations in technology-supported teaching and learning.
IT training Valuable training in popular software applications for staff and postgraduate students.	Photography and television Professional photographic and television production services in support of teaching, research and public relations.

CAD staff also engage in graduate research supervision and research in higher education, often in collaboration with faculty-based colleagues.
